Cookie Policy
What is stored, and why.
No advertising trackers. No analytics cookies added to our current public pages.
Last updated: October 16, 2026. This policy covers baskayalabs.com. For broader handling of technical information and correspondence, see the Website Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. Their purpose matters: a login session is different from tracking visitors for advertising.
2. Our current public pages
We have not added analytics, advertising, marketing pixels, embedded social widgets or third-party video players to our current public pages. The page controls, animations and screenshot switcher do not intentionally create persistent visitor identifiers or save preferences to browser storage. Their in-page state resets when you reload.
A technical check of the anonymous homepage response on the date above found no Set-Cookie header, and the public page source contained no external tracking scripts. This is a point-in-time configuration check, not a claim that every infrastructure response or future feature will always be cookie-free.
3. WordPress sign-in cookies
The website uses WordPress. Administrative sign-in is separate from ordinary public browsing. The following functional cookie families may be used when a person visits sign-in or uses an authorized account:
| Cookie / family | Purpose | When and duration |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks browser cookie support for sign-in. | Sign-in flow; normally session-based. |
| wordpress_[hash], wordpress_sec_[hash], wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Authenticate an authorized user and maintain their signed-in session. | Authorized sign-in; expiry depends on login settings and whether persistent sign-in is selected. |
| wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* | Remember an authorized user’s interface preferences. | Administrative use; may persist beyond the session according to WordPress settings. |
| wp_lang | Remember a selected sign-in language. | When selected in the sign-in flow; normally session-based. |
This is an explanation of WordPress functional cookies, not a statement that every visitor receives all of them. Cookie suffixes and expiry can vary. Browser storage tools show the actual cookies and expiry on your device.
4. Why there is no optional-cookie consent panel
The current public pages do not offer optional advertising or analytics cookies for you to enable. We therefore do not display a panel asking you to accept tracking that we have not added. If we introduce optional technologies that require consent, they must be kept off until the required choice is made, with a way to reject them and withdraw consent.
5. Managing storage
Your browser settings let you inspect, block and delete site cookies or stored data. Blocking functional sign-in cookies may prevent authorized users from signing in. Deleting browser cookies does not remove web server logs, emails, exported files or information held by an external service. See WordPress cookie documentation for more about administrative cookies.
6. External links and updates
Apple, Google and other external services may use their own cookies after you open their pages; their policies apply there. We will update this policy when our website setup changes. Questions: BaskayaLabs@gmail.com.
